Hmmm….professional bio or personal bio? Actually, there isn’t much of a difference. I am so passionate about the work that I do and the pastimes that I have that they mix and match.
But something has to go first, so I’ll go with professional. If you were going to put 1 paragraph about me on a conference website, for example, it might go a little something like this:
Daniel Rose is a consultant and facilitator in Toronto, Canada. He designs and facilitates breakthrough collaborative work events for groups of 2 up to 2222. Building upon his university training in Mass Communications and Philosophy at York University, Daniel brings experience in photography, improvisational acting and drawing to the collaborative events to encourage his clients to see and explore new perspectives and vantage points.
So you read the part about photography and improv being hobbies, but the fact of the matter is that both of those things have had huge impacts on the way in which I approach my profession. Some people have started to pay for my services as a photographer, so I started a little business called SyncSpeed Photography.
